Tabletto and the Graphic Design Festival Breda invite you to participate in a special day. On Saturday, August 25 we join OPEN SET summer school. This summer school is a two-week masterclass which takes place in Breda and is organized by studio Squash. Designers from the entire world are coming to Breda. There are participants from China, Australia, Germany India, Russia, England and Italy.
OPEN SET participants and other interested designers are invited to work together. The challenge is to make a number of animated visual stories in the limited time of ± 6 hours. With Tabletto as a tool participants are limited in use of material but because of that free to use their creativity in every other part of the process.
The session is not led by a specific designer but will be introduced by the organizers (Open Set /Tabletto/ Graphic Design Festival). They’ll give some structure for the workprocess during the day. A short briefing will be formulated. The theme ‘Utopia’ that will be leading during the Summer School and the festival vision about the different roles of the designer serve as a startingpoint for creating the animations (stop-motion). The final results will be shown during the lecture program of the Graphic Design Festival.
